About Matthew Farris
FOUNDER/INSURANCE BROKER
Matthew Farris, founder, and CEO is a native Houstonian who’s worked in the business-to-business development arena for many years. It was here that he discovered his passion for problem-solving and developing & cultivating relationships. Matthew’s personal life taught him the importance of having the best health insurance plan available. At five years of age, he watched his mother survive a breast cancer diagnosis, and although he wasn’t aware of this importance at the time, he did realize that medical teams, hospitals, and excellent physicians helped save his mother’s life. As a young adult, he faced an injury that took a year of therapy and rehabilitation to improve his mobility. Other personal health issues that required him to get medical care has given him a birds-eye view of the challenges both consumers and professionals experience with the American healthcare system. Why does this matter?
Matthew saw a need. He realized that everyone deserved excellent medical attention, but understanding the industry’s limitations could be overwhelming, so he started Farris Benefit Group, LLC. At FBG, he focuses on multiple facets of coverage including, life insurance, group health insurance for companies, Medicare, disability insurance, and health coverage for families, individuals, and the self-employed. Knowing firsthand how quickly an injury or diagnosis can alter a person’s life, Matthew works to find health insurance plans for his clients that provide not only preventive care, but also long-term healthcare if it becomes necessary.
Matthew feels that his caring attitude, attention to detail, and his sincere desire to serve his clients separates him from the rest of his colleagues. He strives to make sure he is offering real value to all of his clients in every interaction. His goal is to help each of his clients to find a plan that will meet their budget and insurance needs. He has been able to help people from all walks of life do this already, and along with his team they look forward to helping many more in the years to come.
